Step 1. The height needs to be measured in a proper riding outfit. We recommend putting on your equestrian pants and socks. These two products will allow you to properly pick the upper's height. Then, take the measure from the ground to the back of the knee. You will need an aide to do that, who would check the values accurately. You may take one of two positions. The first would be to bend your knee as visible in the picture above. The second would be to sit down and bend your knee at 90 degrees. Both positions are correct as they will show the aide which place at the back of your knees the shoes can reach so that they don't bother you while riding.

Step 2. After taking the first measurement, you can go to step number 2. The calf's width is another crucial aspect while picking women's and men's shoes. Sit down or bend your knee as needed and put the measure to the widest part in the calf's girth. From experience, we can say that tired legs after a whole day of walking may change their size. It is best then to take your measurements in the evening for 2-3 consecutive days. This will allow you to choose the proper width of the upper.

Step 3. The third step is to put all these measurements together and take a look at our size chart, which you can find at the top of the page. Properly match your measurements to the chart.
